Nike SB Dunk Low Pro QS : "Bronx Girls Skate"
Nike SB continues to spotlight community-driven skate culture with one of its most meaningful collaborations to date. The Bronx Girls Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low celebrates the grassroots movement founded by Mel Ramirez and Kava Vasquez, honoring the women and gender-expansive skaters shaping New York City’s skate scene from the ground up.

Rooted in the Bronx and inspired by daily movement through the city, this Dunk Low pulls directly from the visual language of NYC public transportation. The upper is constructed from premium black stingray-textured leather, paired with a crisp white leather Swoosh for contrast. Subtle color piping along the overlays references the subway lines that connect the city. Green, orange, and red accents represent the routes Bronx Girls Skate uses to navigate between neighborhoods, sessions, and community spaces.
The storytelling continues through thoughtful details. Gold lace jewelry inspired by classic door knocker earrings adds a distinctly New York touch, while custom nameplate dubraes reinforce the collaboration’s identity. On the outsole, semi-translucent rubber reveals subway-themed artwork, BXGS graffiti lettering, and “The Bronx, The World” messaging split across the heels. Inside, sockliner graphics feature handwritten poetry from Mel and Kava, grounding the release in purpose rather than hype.

This collaboration stands as a reminder that Nike SB’s most impactful releases often come from real communities, not just skate icons. The Bronx Girls Skate Dunk Low is less about trends and more about representation, access, and carving out space where it did not exist before.
The Bronx Girls Skate x Nike SB Dunk Low is expected to release in January 2026. Keep it locked to @artsandrecstore for in-store or online release details, size availability, and launch updates as we get closer to drop day.
